LightPath Photography brings a unique method to Real Estate photography which we call “Light Painting”. This method addresses the issue of how to properly and fully light a property or room so that the details are clear, the colors are vibrant, the shadows are controlled, and the image is inviting.

“Light Painting” solves the lighting problem of both very large and very small rooms. In a very large room it is difficult to setup enough lighting for proper illumination while keeping the lighting fixtures out of the scene. In a very small room, it is difficult to get lighting fixtures into the room. In bathrooms, in particular, producing proper lighting without getting unwanted reflections in mirrors or glass is a challenge. The “Light Painting” method addresses all of these issues and additionally maintains properly exposed window views.

The “Light Painting” method involves using a high resolution digital camera and a wide angle lens to take a series of photographs of the scene with the lighting varied in each exposure. The series of photographs are then blended together using photo-editing software on the computer. The result is a seamless image with enhanced clarity and definition. We then deliver the final images in two digital formats; one for printing and one for web display. Prints of the image are also available directly for LightPath.
